Vmirror installs easily with RAID units and switches and, optionally, with Xsan, StorNext, metaSAN or other SAN software, to create a high-performance storage system with instantaneous failover and no single point of failure.

The new Vmirror 8Gb appliance will deliver higher throughput with Vmirror’s ability to optimise read operations from two identical mirrored members, which presents a large performance advantage in multi-client SAN environments.

High-speed mirroring, combined with up to eight high-speed 8Gb Fibre Channel ports per appliance provides the connectivity, bandwidth, and uninterruptible streaming needed to support video operations in large workgroups and commercial environments. Each appliance supports up to 96 workstations and 16 video RAID storage systems.
