Let’s face it, filmmaking is hard. Or at least it’s expensive. So when a Cambridge film crew approached us last year to help out with a local film we just couldn’t resist.
Harvey Greenfield Is Running Late is a comedy of errors. And it promises to be genuinely hilarious. With names from The Office, Red Dwarf, and The Inbetweeners making up the cast the indie production company behind the project is throwing everything its got at making their debut feature film.
Cambridge is beautiful city, filled with interesting and creative people. But as we all know, when you’re staring down the budget of a feature film even a diverse group of creatives need a hand here and there. Our long time collaborator and friend, Oggi Tomic, dropped us a line to say that he was helping out the team behind Harvey Greenfield Is Running Late and would we be able to loan them a monitor/recorder. Being occasional filmmakers ourselves we wanted to go one better.
After a brief, but productive chat with the director and producer (Jonnie Howard and Mikey Kowalczyk) we decided to loan the crew a RED RANGER GEMINI 5K camera, Atomos Shogun Inferno, and a prototype SymplySPARK to use as their edit storage.
Making films is hard. But it becomes a little bit easier when we all pull together and lend a hand. We’re proud to be able to support indie filmmakers in their work and can’t wait to see the end result.
You can find out a little bit more about how the Harvey Greenfield team is using the SymplySPARK in the case study video below.
