The International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) 2023 held in Amsterdam was a spectacular success for Global Distribution. Our booth at the event turned heads and drew crowds, thanks in no small part to the eye-catching Symply-branded yo-yos that captivated attendees and provided a playful introduction to our latest product lineup.
At Global, we have always strived to push the boundaries of innovation in the media production and technology industry, and this year's IBC was no exception. One of the most anticipated launches at IBC 2023 was the SymplyPRO Ethernet LTO, a product that garnered significant attention for its cutting-edge capabilities. This innovative solution brings high-speed Ethernet connectivity to LTO tape storage, offering professionals a versatile and reliable backup and archival solution. The Ethernet LTO opens up new horizons for secure, long-term data preservation, making it an essential addition to any media production workflow.
Another star of the show was the SymplySPARK XT, a RAID product that continues to impress industry experts and users alike. Its seamless integration of storage, data management, and collaborative features ensures that media professionals can work efficiently and effectively, regardless of their project's scale or complexity. It incorporates revolutionary hard disk drive technology from Seagate - MACH.2 multi-actuator drives that deliver real-world read speeds of up to 2,500MB/s and write speeds of 2,000MB/s.
Transporter & Workspace, two of our versatile solutions, attracted significant interest from IBC attendees. Transporter, with its S3 native edge appliance design, provides secure and resilient storage wherever it's needed. Meanwhile, Workspace XE addresses collaborative workflows by offering an ethernet-based storage area network (SAN) solution that is portable and easy to transport, making it ideal for on-location and small production offices.
Welcoming New Partners: Xencelabs
In the spirit of innovation and collaboration, we are thrilled to announce our partnership with Xencelabs, a company renowned for its creative technology solutions. Their 24-inch Pen Display was a hit at IBC and many of our visitors were blown away by how impressive it is compared to its competitors. This is truly a game-changer for artists, designers, and creative professionals, offering a highly responsive and immersive drawing experience. LaCie on the Global Booth
Although LaCie's iconic Rugged drives are well-known and have likely been utilized in various production stages, the most common question asked by many visitors at our booth was "Which Rugged SSD model should they choose?". The Return of The Global Beach Party
IBC 2023 wasn't just about business; it was also about building relationships and fostering connections. Our beach party, set against the backdrop of a perfect waterside location, was a resounding success. Attendees enjoyed great food and drinks as they mingled and discussed the latest industry trends. It was an opportunity to connect with resellers, end-users, and valued partners like Wasabi, Symply, ATTO, Rhode & Schwarz, Xencelabs, Seagate, and LaCie in a relaxed and informal setting.
