Atomos has released today new firmware for the Flame Series as well the main HDR FW update for Shogun Studio.

AtomOS 7.12 for Flames:
• Now supporting HDR exposure from the following camera log curves: Fuji lm Log, Sony S-Log and Canon C-Log3.
• Fixed PQ HDR output compatibility issue. Gamma and gamut is now 100% accurate for all gamuts, highlights and blacks.
• Increased precision in blacks when processing HDR from log inputs giving perfect black representation.
AtomOS 6.6 for Shogun Studio:
• Now supporting HDR exposure from the following camera log curves: Sony, Canon, Arri, Panasonic, JVC and RED cameras.
• Colour gamut mapping precision increased.
• Up to 10,000 nit PQ monitoring and grading input added.
• Playout to HDR monitors and televisions using PQ added.
• Increased precision in blacks when processing HDR from log inputs giving better black representation.
• Use AtomHDR easier with a new visually improved slider.
• Set the dynamic range of your scene with ease using the simpli ed HDR waveform line while in AtomHDR mode.
• Automatically set the scene’s max brightness with the new WFM Auto button.
• Take advantage and use the full height of the WFM to view the HDR range by using the WFM HDR button.
• A more precise WFM with graticule values that adjust depending on the log source.
• Change the way you play back clips with the new slow motion feature for easy fast forwarding and reserving. While video is paused, a slow motion slider will appear above the playback controls.
Bug Fixes:
• Fixed an issue where some les exported from NLE’s did not play audio.
• Fixed an issue where waveform monitor graticules were not visible with some menus on the screen.
• Fixed an issue where monitor would sometimes appear jerky when panning at HD 60p.
• Improved RS422 controller compatibility.
• Fixed an issue where the unit would sometimes not power up or shut down completely.
