At BVE 2015 Atomos will highlight their award winning touchscreen accessories for cameras that enable a faster, higher quality and more affordable end to end production. Outside of showing the existing range, Atomos will announce the world’s first implementation of AVID DNxHR recording for 4K, the first fully working sample of Power Station which is a must-have power management solution for the camera rig and the first post launch demonstration of the 4K Shogun complete with larger batteries and a custom developed Sun hood for outside applications.
Also on show is the latest product from Atomos, the Power Station. The new Power Station, scheduled for release in Q2 2015 utilizes Atomos’ patented continuous power technology to give cameramen extra control over power consumption in remote field locations. With a flexible dual USB power source the Power Station allows users to charge high-powered 2A devices (e.g. iPad), along with 3 DC out to power cameras, monitors and lighting sources. The DC input also means that the Power Station is a charging station, providing a fast charging solution for the included dual 5200mAh 4 cell batteries. The front LED display will let you know exactly how much power is left from a maximum of 5A output and the top & bottom mounting holes provide flexible mounting options no matter what the application.
“The speed of innovation continues unabated at Atomos.” said Jeromy Young CEO and co-founder of Atomos. “Hot on the heels of a successful Shogun launch, we now are proud to announce enhanced functionality for the Shogun, brand new Shogun accessories and we are confident our Power Station product will not only prove to be popular with Video professionals but introduce the entire photography market to the Atomos brand. You can’t help but be excited by an all in one power and charging solution”.
At the heart of Atomos recording solutions are the Ninja and Samurai recorders which have broken new ground in production by combining recording, monitoring, playback and deck functionality all in one easy to operate, portable device. Atomos also produce the world’s lightest recorder, the Ninja Star, which is perfect for Drones, RC Helicopters, or any POV set-up and offers edit ready format recording with ProRes.
